EPL-United Vs Spurs

Manchester united hosted Tottenham this Saturday. Manchester utd will be playing another London club on Wednesday in champions league semi final first leg.
United managed to bag only one point in white hart lane in Dec after a 0-0 draw.
Most unlikely spurs got the lead in the 28th min when Corluka's cross successfully dropped to Bent who finished it to give the 1-0 lead to spurs.
4 mins later Lennon's cross found Modric who was provided with acres of space by united defenders. Modric doubled the spurs lead before half time.
In the second half United looked more inspired and organised than in the first half.
In the 56th min Rooney's through ball to Carrick did the early damage for spurs. Carrick noticing the goal keeper Gomes charging in on him, played the ball away from him as a result Gomes brought down Carrick in the box . Howard Webb didn't hesitate to give united a penalty.
Ronaldo burried the ball in the back of the net.
9 mins later Tevez who came in the second half in place of Nani ,played Rooney into the box and Rooney scored the equalizer for united.

In the 68st min Rooney's lovely cross found Ronaldo in the box. Ronaldo finished it with a diving header to give united a very important lead and got booked in the process for taking off his shirt.

3 mins later Ronaldo was dancing down the box before giving the cross to Rooney ,which he didn't fail to make the ball cross the line. United now have comfortable lead of two goals.

In the 78th min Ronney delivered a cool pass to Berbatov which he headed it straight to Gomes. But Gomes could not hold on to it and Berbatov capitalized this opportunity to score the fifth and the final goal of the match. United survived first half scare then destroyed Spurs.


Sir Alex Ferguson has instituted some remarkable comebacks and this was right up there with the best. United were inspired in the second half, storming back to a win that restores their three-point lead at the top of the table, with a game in hand. Surely the title must now be theirs. It was thrilling stuff, five goals in 22 minutes.

Final score was Manchester united 5-2 Tottenham.....
